Just got my 2405fpw today. This thing is a beauty. Very nice LCD, noticed a little bit of lag in desktop using mx510. Checked for dead pixed and used dead pixel buddy (sp?), all clear. Crank up the brightness, black background and turned off all lights in the room, no backlight bleed visible. Almost perfect LCD.
However, there is faint high pitch noise noticeable during loading of several white website pages. Not constant buzzing, as i am typing right now, no buzzing. But if i click new window or make the LCD display another window, then the high pitch started for about 1sec and stop.
Played halo, cod2, coh, warcraft III, farcry, on 1920x1200 and 1600x1200 w/o AA or AF on BFG 6800gt oc is playable, framerate is decent.

Should i rma this because of the faint high pitch?

Not really worth it.

Most electrical components make a very slight noise or electrical hum. The noise is most likely due to the transformer in which case all monitors are likely to suffer from this. Also if the monitor is perfect for you in every other respect RMAing could result in an inferior monitor being sent to you in return.

Buzzing is a common complaint specific to the 2405FPW , People have returned them for units that dont buzz ..of course you risk getting one with back light issues etc.

Guess it depends on how bad it bothers you.

couple threads on it here and another here.
