all i can say is... it's really big. the screen size is massive and it's just a tremendous change from my 17" CRT. i'm running 1024x768@100Hz desktop and 1280x960@85Hz in most games. i like how everything on the screen is bigger lol.

tried far cry, doom3, half life 2... everything looks great. bf2 looked fine at 1024x768. i don't even notice the two wires until i looked for them. the geometry is a little off in the top left corner, but it's barely noticeable.

all in all a GREAT upgrade for only $120 (ebay + local pickup).

Yeah, why are you running 1024x768 on that monitor? I have one myself and I'm running 16x12@85Hz

i run 1280x1024 on my 19" CRT. you should be at 16x12 for sure! if you have trouble seeing, just turn on large icons.

that would just make the icons bigger not the text raising the DPI is what you would want to do.

How can I bump the res to 2048X1536? Sorry to highjack the thread and yes I know this thread is old, but I wanted to reply to an already-existing thread. I can only get it up to like 1800sX???

Welcome to AT.

What monitor do you have?

I've had my P1130 for over 3 years now. Absolutely one of the best investments I've made. I've got my two fastest boxes connected to it.

Anyway, I agree. Never run the monitor at max refresh. At 1280x1024x32 (my normal res), I keep it at 85hz.. Probably the main reason why this monitor has lasted for so long with no indications of slowing down.

Yeah, I was running it at 1600X1200 at 85. I am worrying this will mess up my eyes. I think I will try the clear type.
