we have a 3 tier rating system. i was in the top tier. it's tied to my bonus so it matters.

edit: 3 tiers are exceptional, good, poor.

how long have you been working. THis is my first real world job

Good job on the evaluation! Seems like your bosses think you are a hard and good worker. Maybe stop posting on ATOT so much and engage in real conversations with people? 😉

I recommend two books, both by Dale Carnegie: How to Win Friends and Influence People, and The Quick and Easy Way to Effective Public Speaking.

Good luck!

congrats on the raise! What's your job positition btw?
I wish I got my review already, won't be till another month I believe 🙁

Wow, I've had reviews in part-time jobs and never got a summaru/description out of it. It was all verbal. I wished I had something like that so I could know what to work on. Now I have a full-time job and just a got my review after a couple of months and got 3% raise. Got a good review though and they said I should have gotten 4% but I they didn't have enough time with me at the time they had to submit it (from mid november to december, got verbal review in late Feb). I imagine my written review would be a lot like yours, gigapet, I don't speak up and tend to just be in the background.

graduated in 2000, but was an intern for 2 years before that.

Congrats ... great to work somewhere that institutionalized reviews are conducted and you're given specific feedback. Other than the occasional "Hey you're all right" that I tend to get.

big corps tend to have a standardized process for every god damn thing to the point where it can be a hinderance to productivity. But yes it is key to get good feed back!

1st real job
1st real review (positive; with constructive feedback)
1st real raise

That's exciting stuff gigapet. Good job.

Take care of those things we mentioned and you'll be EP in Jan.

[Evaluator 5]
Do we have a policy about internal reviews being posted on the internet?
