After some trouble trying to format my drive so I could swap out mobos and chips I finally got it running.. So far I have had it to 2.6ghz (145fsb) and with it at 2.6 and my GF4 Ti4000 at 300/600 I got 12663 on the 3d marks. I guess I should do some adjusting with my xms 3200. There were 3 speeds available in my bios for my ram, do I just pick the highest one. When I was at 145fsb the highest was 355 I think.

Woot Woot!

yeah that would work
although its still not up to par with ram potential speed

try for a higher overclock?
also make sure pci/agp bus is locked

check again, im sure there must be higher ones available....

my friend has same mobo with 1.6a and hes at 2.6ghz with ram at i think close 350ish...his geil is not working as he expected haha

Select the higher RAM speed you can, and then go into Advanced Chipset Features and set all your memory settings. (they should read 2-6-2-2 horizontally.) If there are preset configurations, you can also use those (Such as Turbo or Optimal). If you can get your FSB to 150, you should see DDR 400 as an option, which is a nice round number.

uhh champ, i don't think so.

at 133 FSB you can only get DDR355MHz (3:4). you have to get to 150 FSB to get DDR400. at least that's all that's selectable for me with my 2.66B on it.

I think he is thinking about the Via P4PB chipset which is a p4x400 chipset.....It offers a 4:6 ratio at 133fsb.....Am I right???

I had it to 145fsb but didn't notice any of the memory settings. But with it at 133 I have 355 as the highest available. I also don't see where it asks what ratio I want to set it to. My p4s333 had a option to set it to 1:1 ,3:4 and 4:5 I think but here I don't see it.

this one doesnt have any ratios
its near the top, 3rd one down or something
it has ddr speeds available as numbers instead of ratios

unless you are asking about the ram timings?

Nope, you answered my question. but since you mentioned it... My ram timing should be 2-6-2-2? Its corsair XMS 3200

your ram timings should be.... wherever they remain stable ;)

since your still playin with the cpu id suggest 2.5-3-3-7 for now and play with those settings after youve dialed in the cpu.

if you go over 150 you probably will sacrifice onboard sound, so if you are using it i would say 150is max
then play around with the timings, you should be able to set them to the highest no problem i would think

run memtest86 to be 100% sure that ram isnt crapping out

So what else should I test? So far 3dmarks is all I have done and I'm up to 13116 on that. :)
