The great part is. It's factory unlocked 🙂

Now can I tell using the markings if it has 200 or 266fsb?

Thanks.

Looks like they gave me the right one 😛. Now I got an unlocked 1.2ghz with 266fsb 🙂

Lets see how how I can crank this baby up.

i've got a tbird just like yours, i can get mine stable at 1365mhz (12.5 Clock Multiplier, 105fsb (my A7V-E only goes to 100mhz fsb))
got a crappy heatsink on it too

1.4 is prolly max.. i have an SK-6.. temps are nice... upper 40's

perfectly stable... it wont post above 1400...

I would be very happy with it at 1400. What are your multiplyer/fsb/voltages settings? What motherboard are you using?

If you burn in your CPU as you crank it up, you will probably get better results. First, burn it in a day or two at stock speed. Then, every 50-100MHz, burn it in for another day or two. Patience is something few overclockers have. However, I think it is worth a few days of slightly less horsepower to possibly get more, and be safer in the end.

nice 🙂

i have a 1.2...im at 1450 now...it goes into windows but crashes in an hour at 1450-1550...post at 1600 and 1650, but not much more than that

Humm...

I ran 3dmark 2000 (yeah I know 2001 is out but I wanted to compare my results with my old ones), and I only got 3748. If I check with the only result browser and do a search and compare, most get 5000+. I used to get 4000+ with my duron at 600mhz:Q. Anyone know why my score is so low?

Specs:
Shuttle AK31A
256megs of DDR2100 ram
30gig maxtor (7200rpm)
20.5gig quantum (7200rpm)
Asus V6600 (geforce 256)
SB Live
Intel Pro 100+ nic
Delta 52x cd-rom
Running WinXP with all the defualt drivers it installed.

<< Burning in is bull-pocky. >>

I don't think it makes as much difference with the new copper chips, but it sure made a difference with my 'ol K6-2/500! When I got it it wasn't even stable at stock speed/voltage.
Much burning let it run at 550@ stock voltage, also let me run higher speeds at lower voltages than before burning in. Ultimately ran 605@2.8v(!)

My Athlon-1200C maxed out at 1400@1.85v, seems to be the norm.

Your Geforce 256 is probably the bottleneck... if your a gamer i recommend upgrating to the Geforce3 TI-200 for budget, Geforce3 TI-500 or Radeon 8500 for ultimate preformace.

I got a higher score with a slower cpu. Even if the video card is the bottleneck, I should be getting higher then with my old cpu.

That's really low. I get ~2850 with a Celery @500 and a GF2MX PCI card.
Why? Haven't got a clue besides the GF256.
:Q

the BIOS SPD memory setting does not work correctly on the Shuttle AK31a, Do a search on the motherboard fourm and you should find the settings that will make a significant difference (my Sisoft memory scores went from 500 something to over 900).

I also have an unlocked 1.2GHz T-bird, I have not oc'd it yet but will be soon. 🙂

So far so good.
Running at 1.33ghz right now, defualt voltage.
Ram is running at
2 (Cas)
4 (bank)
2
6
2
4
1
forget the rest.

Getting 776/996 in sisoft for memory. I formated and installed win98se and got 5125 3dmark score.
