Yessiree. A while back we had a thread happening on pop-up killers and I went and got the one that got mentiond a lot in the thread, from Shifthead Software. While I was there, I also picked up this File-Sharing App they were all hot on having people download, called All Thumbs. Well. I've been using it Waaaaaaaaay more than any of the other ones I used, like Bearshare or Morpheus. This thing has got, I kid you not, the following features all in one:

Built-in Browser: Its based on Internet Explorer, and lets you have multiple tabbed windows open. This rocks. I use it as my default browser (which is, sort of what they have in mind, I think)

Gnutella Client: They call it - get this: "Gnutbuster". *ahem*. Anyway, its got really excellent advanced functionality like filters, auto-connect and re-connect, and many many more, but its simple to use. AND - MORE important - I hardly EVER have to wait for a connection.

Newsgroup Scanning:you can scan newsgroups for multi-media files, and re-post them back to usenet.

"Webscanning": I had Noooo idea what this was, even after I read the site, twice. So, after I emailed them, and they stepped me through it. What it is, is that it scans HTML pages for content, and brings it back. Here's an example. I take this program, point its browser at Thumbzilla click through to the main page where they have all the the thumb klinks, and hit SCAN. After a few minutes the scan finishes, and I've got EVERY thumbnail on the site and its affiliated links. No clicking through, all automatically. This is DEATH to TGP's that survive on people clicking through and signing up for paid porn.

Sharing: Its got a gnutella server, sure enough, but its also got its OWN webserver that you can use. Using this, it gives you the option to email anyone you want with the current IP and Port the server is running on (once you enable it - very simple), and they just click on that link in your browser and BOOM. Nice, simple, private filesharing.

And...one last thing. It COMES with the pop-up killer. So if I'd KNOWN that, I wouldn't have D/L the original one to begin with! Apparrently, I can even hide the app and have it scanning in the background in case my Grandmother walks in (or, if I know my grandmother, vice versa).

Its free. I have NO idea how they plan on making green, as there apparrently isn;t any spyware (I couldn't find any, but I don't have enough technical acumen or interest to "sniff" the traffic).

One caution. The interface ISN'T your average bear. It looks like a cross between explorer and outlook, with all the functions divided into four or five main windows. This wasn't what I was used to, and it took me a while (btw - I was blown away by the fact that they email you back on questions really really quick). But once I got it, boy did I ever. I think myself these guys are planning on doing something VERY radical in the browser market - filesharing functionality across web, usenet and P2P in a VERY functional browser. scary scary.

They are doing about one release every two weeks on this product, so check back frequently for new versions. The thing is though, I read in their forum that auto-updating is in beta and should be out in the next week or so, so it'll soon be a mute point.

Anyway, I'm going to send this on to them as well, letting them know I posted. After the kind of plug this has turned out to be, I want to get paid!

You can take a look and download it HERE. They want you to register it, but its free anyway, and I haven't gotten one BIT of spam from giving them my email. Their privacy policy is excellent.

So anyway, if you pick it up, tell them you saw it here, and that they should send Chong on a cruise or soemthing! If you hate it, well........dont mention me! :D
