I bought it BB, still under return policy. I've played HOMM5, totally fine. Oblivon was ok, just random crashes more than with 7800gt, but not terrible. I saw minor artifacts, rare though. FEAR plays fine, but I think there's some discoloration, but reall ****** does not start until I try to exit. I cant get back to desktop, screen flickers and you can only reboot. COD2 plays well, all maxed out.

My options:

1. Return for refund and chill with my ole on board until there's a good deal or maybe a next get videocard, since no good games are comign soon.

2. Exchange for 7900gtx or XTX and pay $150 extra, if XTX then new PSU too I guess.

3. Exchange see if next unit will be better.

4. RMA.

P.S. I am gonna reinstall windows soon, I had 3 different cards prior to this one under same drivers and etc. Also gonna install Vista, so maybe I need to get new forceware like OMEGA and try it again or you think I am one of many lucky buyers. 🙂

Try out the other cards, but if you no likey then return, find the one you like then return it for a full refund, then buy online for a much better price.

i have BB store credit, that's the problem and if not this there's nothign to get 🙂

Well then i would still recommend you try higher end cards, just to see i you like the performance gains and what settles your needs best. Then after if its too much or your happy, try another 7900gt and see how that works out.

Exchange for GTX or XTX. With the Vista being delayed, the general concensus is that the new generation cards will arrive not too soon. Until then, what we've got now is pretty much what we will have. (except R580+ type of speed bumps here and there) On the other hand, I feel more and more the necessity of 512MB of frame buffer with today's top-rated games. (COD2, F.E.A.R., Battlefield 2., etc.)

Add a bit more $ and get a BFG 7900 GTX. You won't be disappointed.

I'd try to RMA it... if they won't cross ship, return it to the store for another one since they probably won't give you anything but store credit.
