Hehe... looks like I got a Klez email waiting for me on my home account.

It was sent by a guy that works for the City of Boise. :)

I'm interested to see what my email scanner says....

edit: I'm using AVG as well. :)

someone on our dept mailing list was spreading it this summer. since it spoofed addresses I could never pinpoint who it was. I got over 130 of them :( So make sure your AV is airtight.

In my alltel.net mail account I receive 5 klez infected emails minumum per day and sometimes as many 10.

What's sad is that I've never given that email address to anyone. Ever.

Nope, don't have Klez. AVG blocks it. My daughter recently got an email with the Klez, and AVG blocked it.

I did get the hoax that tells you to hurry and delete a file on the PC, as the address book was infected, you probably are infected, and Norton doesn't detect it. Then it says please forward to everyone in your address book.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but my address book has been infected with a
virus. As a result, so has yours because your address was in my book. The virus
is called jdbgmgr.exe It cannot be detected by Norton or McAfee anti-virus programs.
It sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. However, I don't know how long "14 days" has been because I just recently received this news from my friend. It is sent automatically by messenger and address book, whether or not you send emails. The good news is that it is easy to get rid of. Here's how:

And it goes on with details of how to delete it.

Yeah, right, someone I don't know or recognize is asking me to delete a file with no backup proof or verification. And then wants me to forward it to everyone I know.

I don't THINK SO! :|

I get Klez 5-6 times a day... it's annoying having to run Quarantine every ****ing time I check my mail.

Wet ones? :D

Anyway, if you get infected I can send you one of these nifty cleaning tools for it which I receive daily! Your virusscanner may claim it's Klez, but it's not! No really! Just install the virus^H^H^H^H^Hcleaner!

I get at least a dozen e-mail viruses every day; the worst was during the height of sircam when for a while I was getting on some days more than a hundred. Never been infected though. :)
