Ok, so this laptop has a button that can turn the wireless card on and off in windows. When its on the button glows blue, when its off, the led is off. Now when i start up FC4 the button blinks a few times, like when it is starting the network. Problem is that i cannot for the life of me, figure out how to turn the wireless card on in redhat. Just pressing the button does nothing. I tried checking out the config files for the driver but theres nothing about EnableRadio in there. I tried "Fn + F1-12"

Can anybody, please, tell me how to turn this thing on in FC4.

thanks

How do you know the radio hasn't been enabled, and the light just isn't on? Sometimes, the LED is software-controlled.

I know its not on because i cannot connect to the internet with it. everything is set up correctly, i tried both static and dynamic ip's.

also, when linux starts up

at the

initializing hardware.... storage network audio done

line

when it gets to network, the LED flashes on for a couple seconds then turns off
