got into a wreck...file a claim?

I backed up into a person i know at a party. Cracked her right fender and scraped her door and bumper....she just told me to make sure it gets fixed and I told her it would. its been a day so is it too late to make a claim to the insurance company? I was just going to pay for the damage in cash and not claim but now i figured it would be cheaper to file a claim and have my insurance cover it. where do i go from here? (saturday and sunday...can't get in touch with insurance agent..)any help would be appriciated

Are you sure it would be cheaper to have your insurance take care of it? Depends on the company and how long you've been with them, but they'll proabably raise your rates over the next few years because of it. Also you have to figure in your deductible.

Call your insurance company and ask. That's what they're there for.

Uh huh. Get the girl to get 2-3 quotes from places and pay for the cheapest one.
