w/ a red miata...
a horrible storm hit atlanta today at around 4:50 PM or so when i was on my way up to atlanta.... i was in the far left lane traveling ~50-55 on I-85 North (speed limit is 65)... the rain was horrible, huge puddles all over the road.. anyways, i sort of run through this huge puddle and drift a bit.. i slowly let off the gas and gently press the brakes, and regain total control of my car... completely in my own lane... so i continue driving, when about 10 seconds later i get hit from the right, forcing my front end to go right a bit and get hit again in the back.. sort of like she drug her car along the side of mine.... anyways, result was it was completely her fault, 100%.. still sucks though, being out there in the pouring rain for 30 mins waiting for cops.... just for reference, when i stepped out of my truck, the puddles of water were literally passed the top of my shoes, at least 3 inches deep.. it really was horrible driving weather.. i could barely see 10 ft in front of me....

here are some pics i took of my truck outside after i got home...

FYI...pics don't work...but that sucks.

I hate driving in the rain, not because I can't control my own car but I worry about the other drivers on the road.

oh its only about 4 to 6 grand in damage, nothing at all... all his right panels are fuxored, could be pound out but it would look like crap. needs to repaint the right side of his car, and it looks like a pretty good hit to the door frame on the bottem there, which adds to the injury. <Not refering to your truck>kinda shows you how sh!tty cars are made these days...

depressing... bah... anyways, we'll probably end up taking the money from her insurance and just getting me a new truck.. maybe a tacoma or something... we got the car for ~$7,000 about two years ago... its a 98 or 99 and only had 35K miles on it.. now it has ~60K, i think it just hit 60K miles not last friday but the one before that.... anyways, not that big a loss, hopefully my insurance wont go up too much... which it probably will... once again everybody gets screwed....

if it was 100% her fault your insurence shouldn't go up in theory, she has no claim on your insurence, be sure to tell that to YOUR insurence company ASAP, they may have 24hr claim so give them a ring.

actually I think insurance companies never blame 100% of it on one party... you are automatically at some fault becuase you were driving..
