Got FM Modulator, but missing an adapter. Please Advise

I am confused. why are you doing fm modulation but need a hard wire from ipod?

My car stereo doesn't have Auxilary audio input. Thus far the only way I can play my ipod/iphone in my car is through an FM Transmitter. However, Transmitters are horrible, constant static, hard to find a free FM channel etc.

What this modulator does is 1) Allows me to cut off the car antenna to the radio via a switch. and 2) The switch then uses a different audio source as the 'antenna' (in this case, my ipod/iphone). And, since it uses a wire (instead of transmitting over air via an FM transmitter), as well as cutting off any other transmissions on that Frequency by cutting of the car antenna, the quality ends up being significantly better.

you are over thinking this...

sdifox,

You said you were confused. I then take the time to clarify the problem and what I'm trying to do, to which you tell me I'm over thinking?! Do me a favor, take your snide remarks elsewhere.

over thinking as in there has to be an easier way. what car and car deck is it?
You have to remember that FM radio bandwidth is limited so even if you did what you wanted to do, it may not sound all that good anyway.
