well desk space is hard to have but the added desktop space is good if you have a lot of browsers and apps open
the diff vid cards work well together even better than my main card alone
though i got rid of the 98/2k dual boot which cleared up a lot of other problems
win 2k with 2 chips 2 mons and for some reason this weekend my isp was working faster than usual is great, better than my t1 at work
i hope everything is stable and works reliably for at least a year
my next machine will also be 2 chips but this time amd and 2 lcd mons, flat panel speakers, etc
4? wow, i cant imagine the desktop space that would take.
for all of you who use multiple monitors, try out ultramon
its saved me much time on my dual setup
And for those who care, I've gone from a two-card setup to just using an nVidia card with TwinView. It's not bad at all. Works identically or better than two cards in WinME and Linux. Win2K, due to its 1:1 display-vidchip ratio, is another story (that only Matrox seems to have mastered thus far). I'm approaching the same functionality level as I had with two cards, but not quite.
multiple monitors rock! i have a g400 from matrox and a matrox g200 running three monitors..a 20, a 17, and a 15...i really don't know what to put in all the windows! i find myself randomly idling in irc channels just so i can fill up a screen. heheeh
