Thanks guys 🙂 Now what else should I paint? I need the practice.....

That looks sweet Chrishuff1

Why not paint the GC to match?

Thats what I was thinking. It looks so badass, the GC would look great too.

Zim Hosein: I think its a SuperMicro. Painting the GC would be pretty sweet too, not gonna paint the mouse though 🙂

Hey since you apparently know a bit about car paint perhaps you can help me. About a month ago I went and got some scratch repair paint for my Dodge Stratus from the Chrysler paint shop. So I have this Mopar scratch repair paint but lo and behold I found out after applying its the wrong color. Didn't notice it while I was applying it that much as usually its slightly different until its dry most of the time from what I understand. Thing is now its completely dry and it doesn't match. Turns out they gave me the wrong color, although I thought I told them the right one, they gave me Shale Green when I should have asked for Onyx Green. Any ideas as to what I should do when I get the correct color paint?

How big is the scratch? If you wana make it look real good you could always use some really fine sand paper, say around 1200 grit, and take off the wrong color and if you have one of those air brushes for a model kinda spray it over the scratch so it doesnt have ugly brush strokes........Does this answer your question?

The scratch is pretty big about 7 inches long, if not longer so I'm not so sure the sand paper route is a good idea.

How far are you from South Bend, IN?

I've got a couple of small, slight dents in the body panels as well as a couple of small rust spots. I've got a '96 Jeep Cherokee sport that is a light blue color. I had one of my doors repainted after having the locks broken out, and the body shop didn't match the paint perfectly. I have never been really fond of the color, and would love a paint job. You might have to replace or re-attach some of the exterior trim. I wouldn't want a crazy paint job. Something in a deep blue maybe.

How much would something like that run? Could you hook a fellow ATer up?

Where are you from Chris? 🙂 Maybe I might really get my car to your shop if you give me a discount 😛 But dude, that`s some awesome painting on the Nintendo 🙂

That's friggen sweet!!

I want to paint my Xbox and Gamecube to match someday soon. Can I just walk into Napa and tell them I want an Automotive Base Coat/Clear Coat and they'll know what I'm talking about?

Did you do any prep work? Did you scuff up the plastic on the N64 so the paint would stick? How many coats did you apply?

Again, nice work!!!

Xiety: I live in Cedar Sprins, MI, kinda far from you 🙂

Yzzim: All you'd have to do is go in there and take a look at their paint book or whatever and pick out a color you want, then tell them you want base coat. You could use single stage which includes the clear coat in the paint, but its a little more expensive, but probably the best way to go here, simply because you'd have to buy clear coat and that would run around $100 or more. As far as prepwork is concerned there were some scratches on it and i used some 400 grit sand paper to take them out and then lightly scuffed the rest of the 64 to help it stick. I put 4 or 5 coats of paint on and probably 3 or 4 coats of clear.
