I live in Iowa and use Mediacom for an ISP. The service I had was 1500/128. Today I was downloading something and noticed that the speed was around 370 KB/s!!! I checked several internet speed test sites and it seems my connection is running at ~3000/256!!! So far there is no official word from Mediacom, but they certainly haven't talked about increasing their rates.
I hope this isn't a one day fluke. I guess I am most excited about the increase in upload speed. Remote desktop was always a bit slow and now it seems to be a bit faster and more resposive.
