!!WHITE TRASH OLYMPICS!!
Yup that is right after hearing about it for the past 3 years I finally got my invite and I am able to go! I was actually invited last year but my cousin's son was being baptized so I had to miss it. But nothing is stopping me from going this year. What is it you ask? From what I have been told it started about 5 years ago with only a few guys and has grown ever since. I think there was about 20 - 30 guys last years and this year, who knows? It was started as a way for some friends to have a somewhat organized camping trip that focuses on the important camping rituals like getting drunk in the woods and not caring about what you look like. In fact for the WTO you are required to dress down, or as white trash as you can (actually one for the competitions). Last year I helped give a couple of friends mullets for the event. I have yet to get my trash gear but I am going to do it after work today. I hope I find some good stuff and the second hand store.
The competitions that I have heard of are:
1: Off Road Riding: Take a little Honda street scooter on an off road course
2: Croquet: You know this is actually a pretty fun drunk game especially in the woods
3: Paint Ball w/ slingshots
4: Target Shooting: someone brings up a 22
It takes place this weekend and I will try to get pics but I wouldn't count on it. The only thing made of metal that I am going to be carrying is my can of Rainer Beer.
