I built my aopen 1559-as for £800 1.6@2.133, 6600go, cdrw and 512mb of ram (although upped to 2gb now). SAved quite a bit and is good fun.

could you put a spec together for an £800 laptop and price the parts. sorry i know its asking a lot but ive never even looked at the inside of a laptop and my mates a bit of a spastic with computers.
