I bought an Ogio Metro from eBags last week for $48 (there was a 20% off sale). It replaced a venerable, but extremely beat up and falling apart Jansport bag that I'd used for over seven years.
First impressions:
Overall this is a very nice bag - it's solid black and constructed out of tightly woven nylon fabric.
Features:
Side-loading notebook compartment is completely isolated from the main storage compartment. Padding seems sufficient, and the compartment is roomy enough to fit my T40 without any problems.
Main compartment has enough space for 2-3 textbooks, an umbrella, and other stuff. It's not huge, but sufficient. There's also a pocket in the rear padded wall bordering the notebook compartment for folders. I put a clipboard here to give the wall some sturdiness
Auxilliary compartment has an organizer for pens, tools, etc.
Other pockets: Left side pocket is meant for water bottles - much better than a mesh pocket as it can be zipped up to prevent the bottle from falling out. A small umbrella might fit into this pocket. There are 2 right side pockets for various items (mice, other computer accesories). Fleece lined CD/MP3 player pocket on top might be handy for some people. The rearmost auxiliary pocket at the bottom back of the bag is kind of tight and somewhat useless. I suppose one could fit items like toothbrushes and other travel stuff here.
Pros - very comfortable to wear, very utilitarian
Cons - the rearmost bottom auxiliary pocket is too constricted to put much inside.
Ok. I'm going to walk around with it. I'll post a full reivew sometime this week hopefully.
