got an ibook g4 -- no gcc?

so i just got a ibook g4 with mac os x. i just noticed it doesn't have g++ or gcc.

i also had trouble getting them. what should i do and where should i go?

do you have the developers tools installed? (it's been a while since I installed OS X)

You need the xcode tools. I believe you can download them from http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/xcode/
