I woke up this morning at 11:45 and proceeded to look through my typical Sunday newspaper exerpts - Comics, Staples ad, BestBuy ad, CompUSA ad, Circuit City ad.
When digging around the CompUSA ad I saw advertised "Epson 610 - $49". I was amazed. I have been looking at scanners for the last couple of days and thought I was going to get the 640U, one generation later than the 610, which was the sucessor to the 636U. Knowing that I had to work at 1, I frantically tried to find one in the Dallas area.
Out of six stores the only store to carry it was the Addison one. And they had only two left.
Becuase I had to work at 1 I begged and pleaded my dad to get it for me. He seemed like he was annoyed and too busy watching the football game, but nonetheless I gave him the map and the ad. I left thinking that my dad didn't even hear me. I worked till 7 or so, and came home, and sure enough, the scanner was waiting on my bed!!
Last one in the Addison store, last one in the Metroplex!
