How is an EKG done?

Hope the rest goes well anyways, and good luck.

they stick a punch of pads on your body and hoop up cords to them. then they have a machine that prints off results. it only takes a few minutes

I had several done. I'm 25 and most of the time they get abnormal results and then i come back and everything is ok. People tend to get nervous during the test and gives bad results.

Yeah me too, you are quite young for anything else but you never know. If you have any questions your doctor cannot answer or whatever PM me, my mom's been a surgical nurse for 20 years or so and she knows her heart stuff well, especially since she works in a children's hospital.

You know what's funny? I'm also 20 and I've been getting abnormal headaches... doc says if I don't get better by Friday I have to go to neuro and get an MRI done or something...

No reason to be nervous at this point. Same thing happened to a co worker, and it ended up being stress. Have you been under any lately?

Ditto...

There was a brief time that I was in and out of the hospital (for unrelated issues), and every time, my mother would have the docs run an EKG and other assorted tests. I swear it was just to torture me. The first couple of times, it surprised me that I had to have it done, and I was really nervous... and thus, failed them. When they retested me (and they did... many times (on different occasions, by different organizations)), I passed it each time... stress will definitely do it. Whenever I knew I was going to have one done, I would intentionally try to just relax... "slow down"... etc. I doubt you're supposed to do that, but I passed every one when I had advance notice that it was going to be done...
