Anyone know what life is like in Indiana - Bloomington? I'll be moving from Ann Arbor, Michigan and am pretty stoked about starting a new life in another part of the coutrny (though it is still the midwest).

Cant wait to go back to school... though not having income is gonna suck. But new opportunitues and hopefully bigger bucks ahead.

I originally read this as "GOD admitted into Indiana's Kelly School of Business..." Now I'm not sure why I'm here.

Congrats regardless.

I've been to purdue, they have a nice school too, but just had a better fit with Indiana. They have a gorgeous campus and tons of hot chicks!

cutters?
I guess you never saw the movie, Breaking Away.

At one point in time the main industry in town was stone cutting. The locals were consequently called cutters...

I will have 2 years of work experience in IT once I matriculate. I work in education and my main responsiblities are DB development as well as handling smaller systems support tasks.

I was also invited to interview from UNC-Kenan Flagler, but got dinged (I goofed up the interview a bit). I think the strongest part of your application has to be your essays. My GMAT was 700 (93%) and GPA 3.1 in Computer Engineering from UofM. Age when I join school will be 24.

I worked a lot on my essays to make them and my job more interesting than it probably is.

2 years work experience....ok.......that's what I was wondering. I'm looking at schools right now for about 1 to 2 years from now. When did you take the GMAT? Right out of college or did you wait to take it?

I took the GMAT December 4th, applied to most of the last deadlines arond mid january to end of february.

I took the GMATwithout any outside tutoring services, and it is relatively simple to do well...BUT you have to be hardcore dedcated for a month and you can get 700+. I studied(practiced) for 3 hours every evening after work. The verbal can seem challenging initially, but the more you do it, it starts becomign automatic. You have to learn all the little tricks that they do. Visit the website pointed in TommyVercetti's signature, it's a very useful resource.

good job starting early...figure out what you want to do, then aim for the schools and peruse teh businessweek forums...you'll learn a lot about various things involved in the jobs as well as the application process and colleges.

Nice job. Bloomington is great - gorgeous campus. Much more scenic down there than you're used to, too.

You should have come to U of Florida! The MBA school is declining, but you can't beat the weather.
