I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep it.. It was a gift from a family member (who doesn't live close..) they said they got it from target if I wanted to exchange it... problem is that none of the local targets seem to carry it (only online..)

So... what would you do? The sound quality supposedly isn't that great, especially for a $300 system. I could ebay it and get probably ~$180-$190 then buy the klipsch ifi or something else...

That looks awesome. Do you own an iPod? If you do, keep it! Damn!

Unless you don't like it...

Not that great SQ? Have you listened to it? I love my PAL, it sounds incredible for a tiny mono speaker (use it in the bathroom). Although if you don't particularly want it, $300 could buy lots of other cool toys. ;)

EDIT: I just glanced at a few reviews and each says the SQ is excellent (as I expected from any Tivoli product). Perhaps you have it confused with another product?

I went ahead and hooked it up - the mids and highs are great, with no lows at all... which is acceptable I suppose, since it's considered a 'portable' system.. I think I'll keep it... it is rather sexy looking :p

That's what I saw in the reviews, which is surprising to me, as Tivoli has always been known for boomy lows from their small speakers. Oh well, glad you like it. Their tuners are second to none if you like AM/FM.

Did you get a gift receipt with it? If so, returning shuld be no problem even if your local Target doesn't sell them.

No, no gift receipt. Even though they offered to let me exchange it, it was a very thoughtful gift and I would feel odd asking for a gift receipt..
