Got a ticket for expired inspection sticker.

That's fine, my fault, blah blah..etc..I won't make any excuses because they don't matter at this point.
The ticket is $120, as it was over 60 days expired.
Is there anything I can do besides pay this fine and be done with it?
The lady at the courthouse was kinda rude and wanted to move me along, and they don't take questions over the phone.

i dont think you can anything about it, just pay and get a sticker for the car. unless you already got one and they didnt put it on 😛 but i highly doubt that.

I've been ticketed twice for that and I've never had to pay a fine. I just got the car inspected and provided a proof of inspection when I showed up and that was it.

I second that solution. Florida = No inspection needed btw!

Yeap same situation here in virginia... just show the judge proof that you have the inspection now, and he'll let it go.

i dont understand how you let an inspection go... i mean they mail you a registration form in the mail every year. Its impossible to forget.

I did this once mainly because of a change of address. Showed the judge that I got it inspected and licensed within a week of getting the ticket and came away with only paying court costs.

A friend told me I might be able to do a payment plan. He said they would rather you pay over a period of time than not at all.

Not paying at all isn't really an option. 😉

I've never gotten a notification for an inspection sticker. It's up to me to keep up with it, and I just run down to the local gas station, pay $5, and watch the guy put a new one on.

Registration and inspection are two different things. And I've never had anyone mail me a reminder for the inspection.

ditto

inspection stations are writing out the month and year on the back of the sticker in nc now. It is pretty easy to forget about inspection expiring.

Actually it is on your part. But it would cost them money in the long run.

IN PA they both expire on the same date, meaning that you cant forget.
