if i had 1.1 million dollars, i would have contributed a significant portion to buy that aircraft carrier that was for sale like 4 years ago.
 
why not just donate the 1.1M and tell Putin to keep his sorry excuse for painting? At least that way you get a tax receipt for the 1.1M

because in general the types that buy a painting for 1.1M at a charity auction are not donating in any other shape or form elsewhere. 😕
