Got a Raise! Finally

well I went on a roller coaster ride with my job the past two weaks. I went from getting fulltime (from parttime 32 hours per week) too getting cut back to 10hrs per week. now its back too 32 per week at a 20% higher per hour than I was. so basically the same position I would be at if I got full time like I thought but not as many hours 😀 so I can still have time to freelance.

work for a city in arizona in thier video production department. in reality I just wish my boss wouldn't of told me what was going on because then I wouldn't of been in such a rush to find another job when they said I would of been droped too 10hrs per week.

anyone else work for goverment in any fashion. is this type of rollar coaster ride around budgets normal? or is it just my screwed up luck

cool, I got a 5% raise myself (salary), found out yesterday....on my birthday no less.

i work for local government. local elections actually. no roller coasters here. raises are based on years worked. but pain in the arse because every position requires taking test.
