Got a question about DVD movies...

Turkish

Lifer
As you probably know already, some DVDs have fullscreen version on one side, and widescreen on the other. A friend asked me how a DVD is supposed to be placed in the DVD tray to watch a specific version. For example, if she wanted to watch the Widescreen edition, is the widescreen text on the disc supposed to be facing up or down?

Thanks.

it was faster for her to ask you, have you post, and get back to her rather than just put the damn thing in and see what it does?

I was thinking the same thing.

The thought of viewing a movie in FULLSCREEN (if even for a fraction of a second) would corrupt her fragile psychie because that was not how the movie producer had intended it to be seen.

Either that or someone has forgotten to take TRIAL & ERROR 101.

Its funny. If you want to watch the widescreen version you put the side that says widescreen facing up, but really the side that has the widescreen data on it is facing down where the lazer would be.

Hehe I know... but the thing is, she was writing an article on DVDs and she didn't have any DVDs with her... anyways, thanks all.

She's writing an article on DVD's and she's doesn't know which side goes in?!?! Why doesn't she write an article on something she has a clue about?

You want her email to ask her yourself?

No thanks. I'm not really overly concerned, it's not like it's weighing heavily on my mind. Just seemed strange, that's all. 🙂
