I've been fooling around with this for the last day or so, and there must be an easy way to share the PC's Wi-Fi connection from Vista.

I think my topic says all: I have a Wifi network setup to my PC, an unoccupied gigabit port on my mobo (now occupied by PS3). When I turn on sharing in Vista on the PC's network card my PC loses wireless connection, when I turn on sharing on the Wi-Fi card (yes, I know it's a security risk), nothing happens. Either way I still can't connect to the net with the PS3.

Any ideas?

Yes, I know that. Reread my post. I want to share my PC's Wi-Fi connection. I have my PS3 wired to my PC's ethernet port.

A ha, I did misread it. :)

I am assuming you're running Windows XP Pro.

This is the best way to go about sharing a network connection in XP. If you follow these steps and it doesn't work:

A) Make sure the Routing and Remote Access service isn't disabled.

B) Your WiFi card (or it's driver) may prevent you from sharing your connection.

I'm not sure if XP Home can share a connection or not.

Thanks.

Yeah, I knew what I was doing, I was just trying to bridge the connections wrong. I got it going.

I think I'll have to splurge for a hardware bridge, makes life so much more easier.
