Got a problem with my wireless keyboard/mouse..

Hey guys, I got a microsoft wireless laser desktop 6000 at bestbuy today. But i'm having a problem.

I installed the software, set up the reciever into the USB port, and configured my keyboard/mouse. Anyway, my problem right now is gaming. When i'm moving the mouse around and shooting, trying to shoot, move back, and strafe to the left (holding MB1, S, and A). But sometimes the keyboard keys will freeze up (I can be pressing 2-3 at once, and one of them will freeze up).

So I want to know, whats causing this problem? My receiever is very close to my mouse and keyboard, batteries are set up right..What do I do?
