and I'm out of the normal isopropyl alcohol or gasoline I usually use to disinfect cuts. It's late and I'm already in my boxers so I don't want to go to the store to pick some up, but I'm worried about the cut getting infected.

I found some pepper spray in my closet and was wondering if that is suitable as a substitute for cleaning wounds? It's meant to keep bears away so I figure it would do a pretty good job.

Be a man, whack off the toe with an axe and cauterize the stump with a red-hot cast iron skillet. It'll never bother you again.

I never know if you people are serious or not. If you try something new though please set up a camera. Your youtube vid might pay for your medical bills and for the chemical clean up crew.

"gasoline I usually use to disinfect cuts."

Got any hard liquor? I'd just wash it well and put a bandaid on it.

Meh, at least your toe nails are fuxxored. I wore too small shoes during a growth phase and every toenail on my right food is fuxxored except for the big toe.

Change your name to Herr Klutz!! Use the pepper spray in your eyes first...if that works you know the drill....

Pepper spray just hurts, not anti bacterial.

That isn't exactly true. It has properties that make it anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, as well as an insecticide against certian species at quantities that pepper-spray should be higher than.
It will however be among the most painful things one ever does if they get it into a cut...

I remember almost tearing off my big toe. It was nasty. I was running late for work. I was in the shower. I moved my right foot quickly out of the shower. I had a cheap standing shower at the time. The entrance to the shower had a metal piece at the bottom. My big toe caught the metal piece, and the next thing I know my big toe nail was standing straight up. Blood everywhere. Had to go to the hospital. They stitched it back on.

Never even considered gasoline as a disinfectant, but I could see it maybe work... I tend to use it more as a cleaner though, it's the only thing I found that will get rid of pine tree sap after spending time cutting trees or doing other work in the woods. Typically I'll have small cuts and stuff from handling the twigs and I never had any issues. WD-40 works for tree sap too but it's more messy on the hands.

Decided not to use it since it's not anti-bacterial.

I am definitely aware that pepper spray hurts, especially the dosage in this can, due to a previous unfortunate incident involving this spray. Usually things that hurt are good for you (anti-bacterial wise), but I guess that's not the case this time. Oh well.

You had to tell him that?

We nearly had a YouTube of him pepper spraying his toe!

Totally off topic, but how do those smilies work? Been seeing them more. They have codes like but if you type them directly they don't actually work. Edit: ok apparently they don't work in preview but work when you submit. Edit2: now I'm confused. lol.

Pepper spray will work. Might as well spray some in your face too. Clears the sinuses and shrinks pores.
