Even though I won't ever use any of the functions or use the calculators to their full extent, it was a good deal and I couldn't pass it up. Texas Instruments are great. :)

i've had the 85, 86, and 89. I love my 89, but will never take it to it's full potential. Those calculators sold for $10-30 stolen back in high school. I had one stolen....learned my lesson real quick

ni im still in college and im probibilly gonna go to grad school for physics or EE. would be helpfull. i have a 83 but the 89 can do SOOOOOO much more

yes this has been discussed in length many times. im a physics major. i deal with numbers. not good with words. thats whjy im not an english major

Yea, the 89 has more functions than I could ever hope to use in high school. It does so much, in fact, that it's banned on some tests (ACT). Its main "offense" is that it can solve whole algebraic equations. :Q

i have a ti-81 (gift), ti-83 (gift), ti-83+ (only one bought at full retail), ti-85 (50 bucks), ti-92 (20 bucks), and a hp-49g (either 30 or 40).

total of 6 calcs for $230. oh well.
