Got a nice bonus yesterday . . .

I work as an associate at a small law firm, which we started in November of last year. We have been very busy this year, and I think we will end up moving to a larger building on roughly our first anniversary.

Last night my boss told me they will double both of my next two paychecks as a performance-based bonus (essentially I get a month's pay in excess of my usual pay) - woohoo! I may still get an additional bonus before Christmas based on exceeding my billable-hours requirement, but I'm pleased with even this bonus for the time being (I have mostly practiced law in the Air Force, so this is the first substantive bonus I've ever received). I bought this watch today as a little treat to myself, but will bankroll the rest of it and/or use it toward my mortgage.

Yeah, it's not too surprising, but at least I kept it reasonable. This will be my first Rolex product, but it's a VERY inexpensive way into that family. I could have bought a Submariner if I were completely irresponsible!
