Got a new (used) car!

I had one day to find a car, it was down between a 04 jetta, 05 tiburon, or an 04 civic.
They all had similar miles about 40k. The jetta was very basic, lowest trim, 5 speed. The civic was an auto, clean, but a little high. Jetta went for 8500, civic was 10k and the tiburon was 7991. Well after driving the tiburon (se), i was sold. Its the canadian version, so everything is in kph. Did the calculations, its about 42k miles. Has leather, power locks windows, sunroof. 5 speed though, still has a v6

All in all I think I did good, ill post some pictures tomorrow.

nice buy, anyway. i havn't been terribly impressed with the tiburons i've driven, but it's a good reliable car. what sold you on it?

How much horsepower does the Tiburon have?

Hyundais are surprisingly reliable cars.

Of those three, that's what I would have picked. I can't stand base models, and Civic is bleh.

Why only 1 day to find a car though? I could never buy any car (other than a >1k beater) without looking around and researching extensively first, but that's just me.

Well I did research extensively before hand, but I just couldn't deal with craigslist anymore, I had a good deal of knowledge about the past cars, with all the research i did. I went to about 10 dealers today, and ended up at the lexus dealership . I needed some type of transportation by next week. The tiburon, well this has 173hp, the v6. The low miles sold me on it, plus the sun roof, leather seats and power everything. It beat the jetta in looks and everything else, it was loaded compared to the jetta and the honda. Plus cheaper. Everything is in kilometers though, so i have to get i'll have to learn metric 😉

I almost got a super charged mini, the sales manager was an ass hole though after I asked for a couple grand under what he was asking for, he had to personally come out and tell me off, how (i guess I insulted him), anyways I told the sales guy he was nice but his manager was a douche bag, gave back his card : ) and took it without hesitation

I would have told him off right back. Whether it's an insult or not, they have no business being rude to a customer unless the customer has purposely done something to cause a nuisance.
