Boy, based on everything I am reading about it, in this thread and elsewhere, this does not sound like something I would buy, given that there are so many higher-quality options that are not wildly more expensive and will hold their value far better. The idea of needing to replace the guide rod and spring after only 2,000 rounds just seems ridiculous to me. We're talking about something you are carrying to protect your life. To me if it's worth carrying (and to me it isn't), it's worth buying something more reliable and of higher quality.

Putting 10k rounds through any gun without cleaning it doesn't sound like a good idea. I think I'd trust it a lot less than any gun that has been well maintained - basically just waiting for something to break every time I pull the trigger.

Yeah, I'm not saying its a good idea especially for self defense. The important part is that the guns can take that many rounds without any parts.

I ran into my first "problem" with the gun when I inspected it more closely last night. One side of the receiver has a groove being cut into it. At first I wasn't sure what was doing it, then I found that the hole drilled for the ejector pin has a burr on the inside of the slide and it's cutting into the receiver. The groove isn't so deep that it'll cause problems, I don't think and the burr is nothing a little polishing won't fix.

*EDIT* I sent an email to their support, so we'll see how good their support is. I've seen some people say their customer service is crap, and others say it's the best they've encountered.

Within a few days I got a response telling me I could send the slide to them and they'd polish it up for me, or I could do it myself. I opted to do it myself, and have, and it works fine now.

I also asked them for new flat mag bases since the flat ones I have make it difficult to seat the mag. So they're sending me "modified" bases that will allow the mag to seat better. They're also sending me a new trigger lock because I told them the one it came with was broken.

So far I'm happy with it. Only 120 rounds through it so far, but hasn't had a misfire or failed to feed at all.

I happened to see that they had a Glock 26 for sale, used, for $499. Seemed a bit high to me for a used one, yes? Maybe it only had a few rounds through it and someone decided they didn't like it...

Just brought the total up to 280 rounds today. Haven't had a single issue so far. I think when I get 500 of these FMJ rounds through it I'll start trying some JHP's. It's fun to shoot... hope it wears off soon cause at $16 for a box of 50 it's getting expensive, lol.

*EDIT* I also haven't dropped any mags while shooting. I did, however, cut myself when inserting a magazine. Little bit of skin on the palm of my hand got pinched between the grip and the magazine base when I gave it a little smack to seat it when reloading.

I've also found that it's difficult to find a speed loader that fits the magazines properly. I finally found one that I think I can get to work with a little modification.
