Well, new to me. 😉

It's an old Toshiba Satellite 445CDT. 133mhz MMX processor, 32mb RAM, 1.3gb HD...etc. I got it for my college classes. Use it for a little programming and such. 😉

It currently has Win95 on it. Is that the best OS for it??

What OS would you guys recommend?

TIA

I put Win98SE on a p200 with 32mb an 1.9gb hd. I tried it on a 486, too slow.. Min Win98, does it have USB or any other special ports ?

I had a Compaq LTE with 80 RAM and it was much snappier with Win95OSR2. That chip is probably a little slowish to run Win98, especially if you try to multitask.

EDIT: If it has a USB port, to use it you'll probably have to go with 98, 95 USB support is suspect.

only problem with linux on a laptop is that it may not have drivers for everything, i had a friend who put linux on his gateway laptop, it wouldnt find his dvd drive, sound card and i think the pcmcia slots...

I would keep 95 on it. Laptop ram is very cheap these days. See if you can get yourself some. I find that for laptops they have a good selection.
