Got a new computer at work!!

Dont make it sound so surprising, I have 800 PC's under my control. slowest is P3-1000......over 50% are P4's.....governments aren't that far behind the times.....why did they skimp on the RAM so much?

they gave me a p4 2.8ghz with hyperthreading, dvdrw, a gig of ram, and a 120gb hd.... just so i can write technical documents (and nef)....

the computer that i use in my office got replaced a year ago
from a 133mhz pentium with 16mb of ram
to a super fast 200 with mmx and 32mb of ram

GO ME

Ugh, sucks if you are an IT guy.

I have a P3 desktop, the rest of the department is on P2's and I work at IT, course then again all I need is telnet to do most of my job.

I am, but I don't have to touch them. I'm not in the repair dept anymore.

Government is way behind when it comes to the computers the USPS use. My local uses a 486 :Q
