Black, 5 speed 40k on the odometer, he was asking $8900 after checking it out, test driving it, and falling in love, i offered him $7600 and since he was leaving the county in 2 days, he sold it.

I had my thoughts, i got a car fax it was clean, and i also had it driven and test drove by a buddy of mine who is a mechanic.

great little car, my first 5 speed but by week 2 its like nothing.

posting pics in a little,

mods in the distant future

*Tein H tech springs
*Apexi World sport 2 exhaust
*intake
*powder coating oem rims black, aloong with all scion badging.

and this last one im iffy about, how do you guys feel about tinted tails?imho on anything but a black car it looks rice, but for some reason i think it looks so sleek on a black car.

Good price.

Save your money. Blowing $800 on intake/exhaust to go from a 16.5 to a 16.3 1/4 mile isn't worth it.

For the love of God, please do NOT rice out that car.

And don't waste your money on performance mods either (look at above post)

Tinted tails look nice on some cars and best on a black car. I tinted my stock ones and they turned out really well. Just becareful with cops and it's VERY hard for someone behind you to see your brake lights in direct sunlight. In the end I got different taillights all together cus didn't want someone to rearend me.

If you must upgrade, spend the money on suspension, wheels and tires as those will give you the biggest performance gain. Unless you're going with forced induction, don't bother with the bolt-on stuffs. Nice ride for a very good price nonetheless.

The only worthwhile exhaust upgrade for little 4 bangers like ours is to toss on a bigger resonator to hush the exhaust tone of your beasts. ;)

I have yet to see a car with tinted taillights that made me stop and say "wow"

Plus being new to a manual, it's just going to let everyone in a 3 mile radius know how bad his 1-2 shifts are, :p

Just kidding OP, congrats, please be tasteful.

Great price. Don't fvcking mod it, though. Let's be honest, it's an entry econobox flared up a bit, don't be that guy throwing money down the toilet of car mods on a car that can never look or be unusual.

Not everyone wants there car to be unusual.

Some people just add things to their car that they like, things that they view as making it look better.

You pick up some nice audio sounds though...personally a cone air filter even if it lost a tad of power sounds so much more sporty.

Because they are just fucking taillights. The difference is supposed to be subtle.

I love all the anti-ricer sentiment here. All the mods the OP mentioned would hardly 'rice' out his car save him getting some insane buzzy exhaust and a 8" exit.

The Scion's are very popular overseas to mod.

It's not always about a sub 5 sec 0-60 time nor turning a 12 in the 1/4 mile.
