Got a Mech-Tech CCU (Carbine Conversion Unit) for the Glock G17 today

Got a Mech-Tech CCU for the G17 today, did three boxes of fifty in ten including refill time on the 33 round mags, just got it so there were no sights on it, still got all 150 within 12" diameter area at 50' just sighting down the barrel. I have the M6PRO on it now so I expect to get that diameter down to 6" or less at a greater distance :thumbsup:

Interesting. There have been kit's out for many decades to convert my 1911 into a carbine. You simply remove the mainspring housing and install the stock, then install whatever barrel length you want. The problem was the stock was being used with a standard 5" barrel, which violates the min. barrel length for rifles (I dunno how a .45 acp round can be considered a rifle caliber).

How does this not fall under the same ruling? I haven't read the specs on the site, too lazy. I'm just trying to keep your thread alive.

Once again, interesting. But for that much scratch, I'd rather piece together some AR15 clone with a decent .caliber

I went to an indoor range today, and I had no sights to aim with, I need to find an outdoor range and get a decent scope to try distances.

It was very easy to shoot, no feed or fire problems through four and a half 33 round magazines. Sets of three were too easy so I did mostly sets of five.

I really like it, going back tomorrow to try it with the laser/light

Oh, and my approval came in the mail today for my CCW permit (carry concealed weapon)

You could have bought a Kel-Tec Sub-9 Carbine and used your Glock magazines in it. Folds up, too.

Interesting, though. I wouldn't mind trying such a contraption out sometime.

This has an 18" barrel, the only part of the Glock used is the frame, the slide and barrel are not used in the CCU.

Well, then you have to go through all the ffl transfer stuff, this item is not considered a firearm, it was fedexed 2day and left at my door, not even a sig req.

If it's made with the same quality as their pistols, I would stay far, far away.
