As some of you might know I recently found out I developed kidney cancer and had some major surgery to get rid of the metastasis. I still don't know how long I have.

So, my landlord finds out about this. How, I don't know. I am in the hospital so I have no way of knowing.

So, my landlord calls my contact on my lease, who is my sister, and tells her not to worry about the rent. Just forget about Novembers rent. And that she will say a prayer for me.

So, if you have a complaint about your landlord, get a better landlord.

That was nice of her. My first landlord was cool. Our relationship was very loose. I fixed things when I could, and didn't complain about petty crap. He didn't have a shit fit if the rent was late by a week or something. I sold him an old pickup I had, and he paid me by taking $50 a month off the rent I was paying. When the truck was paid off, he kept the rent at the lower price. I was paying less when i left than I was when i first got the place. Gotta love negative inflation.

I'll falcon punch the wife as soon as I get home. You're paying the damn rent.

kidding, kidding.

When I was the landlord, I was the only one with the complaints. Crappy tenants are crappy. You, obviously, aren't one of the crappy ones.

Wow that is a nice gift. I bet they have dealt with cancer within their own family or with someone close.

That's awesome. I have a pretty good landlord (management company). The complex is in great shape, they fix stuff without having to be asked, and they always notify me in writing a week in advance if they're coming into the apartment. The rent is nice and cheap to boot.

I live in a rooming house in a shady section of Oshawa (Pop. 168,000), Ontario, Canada. This is the 1st rooming house where ALL the tenants are good, quiet people who never bother you. My rent is $450 a month and my landlord Charles has only raised the rent once in the 5 years I've lived here. I have my own sink, full-size stove and fridge. Rooms like this go for over $600 at other places. I pulled some rummy shit 3 years ago and he was going to throw me out but I promised to stop smoking crack. I kept my word and now he has greater respect for me than ever. (No, I don't miss crack at all and I wonder why I ever smoked the stuff. It's like sucking the Devil's cock.)
