I paid $230 AU for this board which is cheaper than the Epox & Soyo boards. All I need now is the Duron 700! It didn't come with the D-Smart LED, but it did come with a tiny speaker mounted near the BIOS - is this the PC speaker??
Will I be able to run my 64MB ram (PC100) along with 128MB (PC133) at the independent frequencies??

PS. The board has 4 4700uF capacitors and 3 3900uF capacitors...is this right??

I have a couple of questions about some of the programs on the CD included with the motherboard...
Do I need to install the Award Win BIOS Update program as well as the MSI Live BIOS program??
And can someone tell me what "BUSRacing", "MoSpeed" and "UniCache Driver" are??

I'd like to know if you are going to install the Via 4-in-1 drivers or install only the three individual ones minus BusMaster. I am a bit confused about that issue. Some people seem to say that one option is better, others say it's a big nono to install all 4. 😕
 
Denil, did you get one of these boards, too?

I installed all the drivers, following the instructions in the mobo manual.

I am still using the sucky onboard sound til I find a card that I like for the price. I have a bunch of ISA cards, but no can do with this board.

Link the threads that say anything about differing opinions on the drivers, I haven't seen it, and I have checked most all the threads on this mobo. I'm up for trying new settings.
 
The last time I installed the 4-in-1 drivers was on my socket 7. The busmaster driver was terrible and I if I tried to enable DMA, the system would not start windows. Couldn't get into safe mode or anything! Had to do a reinstall of windows!! I am very nervous about installing the busmaster...let's hope that the new version will be better!
Can anyone help me with the questions above?

I am ordering one to replace my P3B-F as I am moving from a Celeron 500 to a Duron 800+. 🙂

I think I saw that said in an ABIT thread. Do a search for Via in this forum and it will crop up. Or maybe someone will simply answer. 🙂
