These days they do. They'll play it off, 'oh sorry, our mistake, we'll fix that right up and get it out to you.' How much we talkin? You said not much so I'll guess ~$100k difference? It's not by too much but I still think it's kinda deceptive. I am emailing HR about it right now but would this generally be a mistake or do companies actually pull the bait and switch?
Naw, it's 3 mil difference. lolThese days they do. They'll play it off, 'oh sorry, our mistake, we'll fix that right up and get it out to you.' How much we talkin? You said not much so I'll guess ~$100k difference?
Let's just say that I have a screen shot of the offer. What was the offer? Maybe you misheard? I remember when I got my first offer letter, I thought he said 60,000...but it was 50,000.
I have never run into a "bait and switch". Big companies probably wouldn't try it for fear of being sued. If it's a small place though all bets are off, there are some shady businesses out there.

It's a pretty big company. Should I just relax then?
hahahahaha...mine was verbal, but doing that in writing is just plain dumb on their part.

This. It's the only way to be sure. You need to go in there flipping shit over demanding double the difference. If you don't show them your stance of dominance they're going to walk all over you.
Contact them. If it was actually done on purpose and you let them get away with it, they will be lowballing you throughout your entire career with them.
update: Called in, was an error. I had to get help to fix it but now I'm making four extra starbucks a day lol.
I wonder if I'll end up in a coma if I actually had those coffees..
