Got a interview for a Data Entry job...

I was called in for an interview on Wed.

the interview went good (even though I was sick :( ), and they pay $8.05 an hour and I would get about 20 hours a week.

Data entry is something that I really don't want to do. I don't think I'm going to like this job at all if I get it.

The guy hiring said that they were not hiring for "summer" work. I really don't plan on sticking around much longer than the summer/part of the fall.
I mainly want to get this job for some quick cash before I go back to school.

My question is should I have told him that? I know that would mean he wouldn't hire me, but then again they are going to train me for this job if I get it and might be mad if I quit in 3 or 4 months.

I really need a job though. I have been turned down by everyone this summer, even the local "dollar store".

Oh well... They interviewed a couple people I want know until next week if I get the job.

so are you working with access? hopefully you'll have access to atot on that computer =D

Who cares if they get "mad" once you quit? its not like you will ever go back there since you dislike it

thats true...

The only access is to the local network I think. No internet access. They keep track of when your keying in data and when your computer is doing nothing as well.

So it would be constant entry while I was there. You don't keep up, they fire you.

They do allow you to listen to your own CDs if you bring them. The company is called Medcost. They file/keep track of insurance claims.

I don't know if I got the job yet. I was one of the interviews that the guy did that day. You had to fill out a application and turn it in with your resume. Then I was called in to take a test, etc... I had totally forgotten about this place since I filed the application/took the test two months ago. They called me up for a interview I was thinking to myself "took you long enough" ;)

I did learn not to tell someone that I only wanted "summer" work last year. I had a good job building computers (a job I would have actually enjoyed) and stupid me told the guy I couldn't work past the summer. *smacks head*

They were not hiring this year :(
