Download powerstrip to see if its overclocked. And if its not, overclock it yourself for even more performance.

finally got this thing running under linux. all i have to say is "wow!" even on a lowly k6-3, i'm getting better framerates than the voodoo2

my system sometimes crashes when i play 3d games. i'm quite sure it's the video card. it's probably not a heat issue so the only other option is a power consumption issue. now this card is a pci geforce 2mx, but would it still suffer the same problems had it been an agp version? i think my motherboard might be one of those that doesn't supply enough power to the agp slot (my friend's agp tnt2 doesn't work in my system but does in his). would it also not be able to supply enough to something on a pci slot? it uses an ali1541 chipset by the way

Hmm... well i have an ASUS A7A-133 with the Ali Magik chipset on and when i had my GF2 MX 400 i had no problems, that is until the card got fried cause i overclocked it...lol. I will probably buy a new one today but generally i had no problems when i was using my old one...

didn't really see much about buggy agp slots in that article. anyway, so far only quake 3 crashes (under linux and windows) but other games (knock on wood...) haven't such as serious sam or unrealtournament. what gives?

i got a mx too to replace my voodoo 3500............. ok card but i'm building a system soon so i'm considering ati for next purchase
