Got a Garmin Forerunner 305 for Christmas

I haven't had a chance to play with all the features yet, but I just got back from a test run. I didn't take the heart rate monitor with me, though I will definitely take it next time.

I did 4.58mi with a pace of 7:35min per mile. Not too shabby at all.

good to hear- I actually just ordered the 205 for my GF a few days ago- sound really cool, I may end up "borrowing" it from her =)

Make sure you have separate user profiles set up for each of you. I assume the 205 is like the 305 in that respect.

The user profile contains your gender, age, and weight, which all the Forerunner to calculate calories burned.

I got a 205 for "christmas" last year - actually received it in the summer. It's awesome though!
