Got a free sub

I've been looking to get a pair of infinity subs for my 88' caprice but I haven't gotten around to it.

well just this last weekend my best friend's older sister's husband was bsing with me and he randomly was like, hey do you want a sub?

so he gave me this sub pic 1 pic 2

I looked up the part # and found it was one of two... here

I'm just wondering what I should do.... any suggestions:? ... I mean I'm still going to get the two infinity 12" subs but until I do I might as well use this one for the heck of it

how could I test it? I don't have an amp right now. I've got a cd deck in my car that has a 50W-4ch preamp in it but that isn't much at allllllllll

any help? Please?

thnx

so yups... i donno^ ^

Hmm let me see...what are you suppose to do with a subwoofer? Well I think the only purpose of a subwoofer is to hook it up to a stereo to produce the bass frequencies. So why not hook it up and do that?

If you just want to check if it fuctions, you could hook it up to a receiver (like a stereo / surround one for home use).

Naturally at 4ohms, you wouldn't want to push a crappy receiver too much, but you'll be able to tell if it works.
