Where should I connect it to? Does it matter? Will get the same performance either way?

the fan on the FOP32-1 is rated at 2.16 watts. The headers on almost all motherboards are rated to deliver up to 4 watts - some of the neewer boards (Abit KT7 series) deliver up to 6 watts. You should have no problems connecting this one directly to the motherboard.

It really doesn't matter which one you connect it to. Like kponds says, most motherboards are equipped to handle it. However, my personal preference is to connect it to a power connector that way you can not short out your motherboard. ;)

yea mine is connected to my motherboard and running fine.

I thought the fop fans come only with 3 pin connectors...can you still connect it directly to the powersupply? or u using an adapter?
