OK, as many of you guys know, the standard battery plain SUCKS. A fully charged battery in the morning is dead by nightfall even with very little use..

I know I can buy an OEM "extra strength" battery, but does anyone know about those generic batteries on ebay? Like this? I was also looking at those ricey "white square" batteries as well...

I mean, I know they won't last long, maybe not even as long as my original battery, but it makes a pretty cheap backup battery..I just dunno if these things can somehow ruin my phone. Anyone know?

Go here: Cell Phone Shop & buy a back up battery & charger base for your phone. The site looks scary, but they have a good reputation AFAIK, & it's cool to get a package from Hong Kong.

I've bought a few things from them (battery, charger, charger base for wife's Motorola V60) & been very impressed with the price & service.

It's a Motorola, therefore it sucks.

EDIT: everything about Motorola sucks, not just the batteries IMNSHO.

You must have the CDMA version (through Verizon). The GSM version lasts a couple days. Though I have no issues with charging nightly either (my old phone was pretty weak in respect to battery life).
