October to December for initial intro of the ClawHammer depending on which rumours and statements from AMD you believe. Personally, I'm leaning towards low availability in December, and wide stream intro in Q1 2003.
As for cost, likely somewhat more then the AthlonXP. Top of the line Hammer systems will most likely be selling at prices similar to 1.53GHz P4's today.

Most rumors guess it would be the last week of October. However the latest interview with AMD says selling in December. That may very well mean selling to big companies, and not selling to consumers - making January the first we can get our hands on it.

Hammer doesn't have a fsb like other processors do (if I'm wrong please let me know). With the integrated memory controller, it really isn't needed anymore.

The same interview mentioned that just one year ago no one would have thought that you could get a 64-bit system in the $1000 range. Lets look at the bare minimum $1000 mark. If we say $50 video card, $100 monitor, $100 drives, $75 keyboard/mouse/speakers/cables, $175 motherboard, and $50 memory that leaves $450 for the processor. However no one said exactly $1000 for the system, so I wouldn't be at all suprized if the Hammer started higher (the $600 range sounds the most likely at this stage). Remember AMD charged well over $1000 for its top processors just 2 years ago.
