brainhulk, i just built my screen and did it all by myself, and it came out perfectly with no wrinkles or anything.

from the looks of yours, it looks like you did not clip the clips in the correct order that they tell you to. so i think re-clipping yours would probably fix the wrinkles you have in yours. my build actually went extremely smoothly. and this thing is MASSIVE!

Wait until you watch sporting event.

I was having extreme trouble last night trying to mount it onto the wall. it won't catch on the fucking brackets and was frustrating me and my wife was tired so i gave up. i was so sad that i couldn't even test out what a movie looks like on there last night :(

and now being thanksgiving it is all busy today so it's just sitting on the floor until i have time later to get it up on the wall.

what mount do you have? I didn't have much trouble mounting it. Making the image square, sure, mounting, not so much.

the normal one that comes with the screen. basically a french cleat. it just is not catching on the screen like it should. gonna mess with it in a bit though, i loosened the mount up a bit and am going to try again shortly. i think it may have been too tight.

hah yea the projector was pretty easy to mount. still nerve wrecking with a $3k piece of equipment hanging 7 feet off the ground. i just updated my build log thread with some pics if you care.

good job man, wasn't it pretty easy with the tension rods?

also i'd like to hear your opinion on the difference of the frame between the ezframe and the sable screen, from someone who's now had both of them. i'm curious as to why the ezframe is $160 more.

yeah, the tension rods made all the difference. At first i thought the screen they sent me was too small, that thought went away quickly after i stretched it to fit and saw how smooth it was going to turn out

as for the difference between the sable and the ez frame, structurally they are the same. Same building instructions also to put the frame together. The only noticable difference i can see is the mold of the frame. Where as the ez frame is just rectangular all around, the sable frame has a contour as you go from the outer to inner. (i'm having a hard time putting it to words, in other words it appears to be purely cosmetic)

yea i know what you mean about the sable frame how it has a rounded edge that goes in, whereas the ezframe has a more boxy frame.

thing is, from more than like 1 foot away from the sable screen, you can't even tell. it looks like it is juts a boxy border around the frame. i'm really glad i did not spend more $$ on the ezframe, because i almost did.
