Got a 7800GT and psu question

I read on the evga site that they recommend a 480W PSU for the 7800 series. The two PSU i'm looking at are the Seasonic S12 500W or a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 470W. I'm hearing that the PC Power & Cooling are the best in the biz, and that the 470 is continuous, with a 520 peak. While the Seasonic numbers are a bit shadowy from their site. I can't find there continuous rating. In short, would the 470W PC Power & Cooling handle a 7800GT?

EDIT: fixed thread title

yes it would be more than enough
the seasonic is a really nice psu, very quiet and efficient, and very stable. i would get which ever one was cheaper

Again, as I have said before to others, the 480W requirement is only to cover their asses and totally overdo the requirements, for all the really crappy, high rated power supplies out there that really are lucky to put out half what they advertise. All you need is a quality PSU of at least 300W (350-400 is usually better) but it should run fine on that. Look at SFF users. I have an SN85G4 at work with a 6600GT and all in it, and it runs solid as a rock on a 240W PSU.

In this case, it's just a matter of quality over quantity, and that PCP&C has that in spades. Both do infact, the Seasonic is good too!

I have a 420W Enermax that has no problems with a 7800GT @ 450/1120 and 3200+ @ 2650/1.54v.
Anything with a decent 12v rail should be fine.
